| Re: Canon 1DS MKIII Interactive Review The test results are interesting...thanks for all your work preparing them.
The Canon 1Ds MkIII can shoot at 5 fps. This might give it a bit of an advantage compared to cameras with a faster frame rate, as it might tend to provide more time for the autofocus system to do its job.
With than in mind, it might be interesting to see how well the Nikon D300, Nikon D3, Canon 40D and Canon 1D MkIII would compare if their frame rate was limited to a maximum of 5 fps. At least then it would level the playing field a little in that respect.
By the way, were the battery grips used on the D300 and 40D when doing the earlier testing? The extra power might help drive the lenses a little faster on those two bodies, versus what happens when the battery grip isn't used. |
